Reports are typically returned within a few calendar weeks, however, findings may take up to more than eight weeks to be returned depending on a variety of circumstances.
Reports will be emailed to the client when completed. A signed copy of the evaluation, a receipt for services and any documents shared will then be mailed to the student at that time. Please note that if the student is under the age of eighteen years old, the evaluation will be emailed, and then mailed, to the parent.
Students, or parents, are responsible for disseminating the results to others including schools, colleges or Universities, tutors, therapists, psychiatrists, College Boards or other entities that may consider findings and recommendations for accommodations or services. Dr. Muir does not send evaluations to anyone but the client, unless requested or authorized by the client in writing.
Should clients wish that Dr. Muir discuss findings of the evaluation with the school, doctor, tutor or others following the completion of the evaluation, please know that written permission is required.  With written permission, Dr.  Muir is willing to collaborate with others in the name of the client, as a professional courtesy, without any additional fees.
Students are invited to schedule an appointment to discuss the results either by telephone or in person in the office, once the completed report has been emailed. If the student is under the age of eighteen the meetings with be scheduled with the parent, and if the parent elects then the student may also be invited to attend the feedback session. Appointments to discuss findings are to be scheduled by contacting the office directly either by phone or email. Parents and students should allow for up to one hour to discuss the findings with Dr. Muir. Should two meetings be requested, one for parent and one for student, additional fees will apply.
